This page explains what MemorizePiano collects, why, and who else handles it. It describes what the site actually does.
Who is responsible
MemorizePiano is run by Daniel Rożek, Słowian 4, 20-830 Lublin, Poland. For anything about your data, write to learnchopin@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your email address. It creates your account and receives your login codes. You give it at checkout, or when you log in.
- A record of your purchase. The Stripe session reference, whether the payment succeeded, the amount, and the email used. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles the card and we only learn the outcome.
- Which lessons you can open. Nothing about how you use them: we do not record what you watch or how far you get.
- Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address and request time, for security and debugging.
Cookies and advertising
Two cookies are necessary: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a short-lived cookie (twenty minutes) that remembers which address your login code went to.
We also use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms that measures how our ads perform. When it runs, it sets a cookie in your browser and sends Meta information about your visit: the pages you view, actions such as starting checkout or completing a purchase (with the amount and currency), your IP address and technical details of your browser. We use this to measure and improve our advertising and to show our ads to people who may be interested. Meta handles this data under its own privacy policy. You can limit ad personalisation in your Meta ad preferences or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Who else processes your data
- Stripe — payments and the checkout page.
- Supabase — accounts, the database, and the emails carrying your login code.
- Cloudflare Stream — hosting and delivering the lesson videos.
- Vercel — hosting the site itself.
- Meta Platforms — advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel (see above).
Except for Meta, which handles its data under its own policy, each acts on our instructions. Some of them process data outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards their own terms provide, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Your account and access records stay while your account exists. Purchase records are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require, which is longer than the account itself. Ask us to delete your account and we will, keeping only what the law says we must.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or take it elsewhere. Write to learnchopin@gmail.com and we will answer within a month. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your data protection authority — in Poland that is the Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything significant will be sent to you by email.
